Whale Watch
I'm surprised that none of our writers to this point told the story of the whale watch. We went out on a 3 hour tour (makes you just want to break into old TV theme songs) on Sunday afternoon. Shortly after getting out into the ocean, we spotted a humpback whale. It was only the second siting they had this season. The morning tour saw nothing. The whale was feeding, so he kept surfacing, blowing air, and then diving down with his tale sticking out of the water. Did that over and over for about 2 hours. Amazing. One time he surfaced not 30 feet from the boat! They weren't sure if it was a whale they had come across before (so they named him Mike). A good name.
